The nominee: Assisted in the establishment and maintenance of 3 Antarctic stations and in the exploration of the Antarctic coastline;

Served as Deputy Voyage Leader of 12 relief expeditions and Voyage Leader of 1 relief expedition, completing a total of 234 days south of latitude 60*S; and
Arranged all logistical and landing operations for expeditions.

Picture5 Sept 2016-  Nod Parsons receives life membership
On Sunday the 4th of September Dr Neville Parsons, or simply known as Nod in Antarctic circles, was presented with an ANAREClub life membership at Sandy Bay, Tasmania.

Nod's association with the ANARE Club goes back to the very beginnings of the club in 1951 where he was a foundation member. A small gathering including Nod's wife Jennifer, children Targ and Sasha, Dr Gwen Fenton representing the Australian Antarctic Division and Tasmanian members of the ANARE Club were present for this special occasion.
