Vale Gary Allen – Casey 74, Mawson 78.

Regret to inform the sad passing of Gary Allen. Gary was a Diesel Mechanic at Casey 1974 and Mawson 1978. A likeable man and valued team member. Post his ANARE days Gary worked at his Father’s garage in East Malvern and in recent  years he was working for Rob Rowland and the team at the Healey Factory. Gary also was a member of the Bolwell Car Club. Our paths crossed when I purchased  my first Austin-Healey as our respective car clubs used to share the same show day. Gary also conducted the test drive on the second Austin-Healey I purchased  about 4 years ago and we had a few laughs when doing so. To his wife Rosemary, Family Catherine and Anthony, Jake and Ned all members of the ANARE community extend our deepest sympathy.
