Sad news I’m afraid – we have lost another Macquarie Island ’78 mate and it has taken this long to find out. For some time now I have been wondering about George “The Magnificent” Seidl. A few weeks ago I checked George’s details on White Pages and discovered he had not moved from where he was post 1978 so I rang and left a message on the answer phone.Today Ljubov, George’s wife has telephoned me advising me that sadly George passed away on 3rd June 2019
