(Notified by email from John Pinn on 19 February)

I bring the sad news of the death of Graeme Wheeler who was on the Meteorology Team in 1957. Graeme passed away on February 3 after a long illness. He was living in Gippsland Victoria.

I lived in the  same hut (Balleny) as Graeme, and he shared many activities and adventures with me at Mawson and subsequently in Australia.  He was a highly active adventurer and a skilled writer, author, photographer, artist and raconteur.  He passed  many of those skills onto his sons and he was patiently and wonderfully supported by his wife.
