It is with sadness that I inform the ANARE Club of the passing of my father, Ivan G. Hawthorn, on the 05 Nov 2021.
Ivan wintered at Davis 1971, 1973 and Macquarie Island 1975, 1979.
Dad held the Antarctic in a special place in his heart and he loved the camaraderie of midwinter reunions.
