Vale Ole Handorf, former Chief Steward (Hovmester) on the JL polar expedition ships;. Kista Dan, Magga Dan, Thala Dan and Nella Dan.

Ole passed away yesterday Saturday 26 October 2013 . Funeral to take place in Hobart on Friday 1st November. Funeral details will be in the Hobart papers on Tuesday next. It is believed that Ole did close to 90 voyages to the Antarctic on board the Dan ships during his years onboard – Ole was 75 years.
