Peter Shaw and his wife passed away earlier this week.
Peter served at Heard Island 1953 and Mawson 1955 and is featured on a AAT stamp “Raising the flag at Vestfold Hills’-the site of Davis Base
He was also the Bureau’s first Hydrometeorologist
