The ANARE Club has received the sad news that Richard (Dick) Thompson OAM, ‘Phi’s Lieutenant ‘ and an ANARE stalwart, passed away on Saturday 11th March aged 98 years.
Dick’s association with ANARE goes right back to 1952 with the Tottan change-over at Macquarie Island and leading up to the establishment of Mawson in 1954 and so on.
Dick’s funeral will be held on Thursday 23rd March 2023 at St Augustine’s Anglican Church, Neutral Bay , Sydney – Further details will follow.
