Regret to advise the passing or Richard L. Brown affectionately known as “Rick” and to his fellow expeditioners from Casey ’76 as “Bloss”
Dick’s Wife Gwen contacted me this morning to relay the news that Dick has passed away peacefully yesterday.
Dick wintered twice Casey ’76 and Casey ’79 – the second trip he did he went as a Carpenter. Tragically during the year Geoff Reeve their Electrician perished from exposure when loosing his way down at Browning Peninsula – fortunately they had Dick on hand to takeover his duties.
Will advise funeral details when they come to hand. RIP Richard L. Brown.

Dick’s funeral is scheduled for Midday next Wednesday (29 June 2022) Cirrus Chapel, Bunurong Memorial Park, 790 Frankston-Dandenong Road, Bangholme. Service may be viewed on their website www.heritagefunerals.com.au
