With much sadness, the ANARE Club advises the passing of Robert “Rusty” Yost on 2 January 2025.
The ANARE Club extends its condolences to Robert’s family and friends.
Rusty was a wintering Senior Diesel Mechanic at Mawson 1980, and Casey 1983.
For those wishing to pay their respects, a farewell service will be held on Tuesday, 21 January 2025,
at the Carr Villa Memorial Chapel, Quarantine Rd, Launceston, commencing at 10am.

Much admired by his colleagues for his calm nature, dedication to his work, his selflessness and his sense of fun, Rusty will be greatly missed by his colleagues. Rusty was a vital member of the Mt King traverse team in 1980, and the Casey Spring Glaciology traverse team in 1983. Great memories of a great man, a wonderful comrade, one in a million.
